We invite you to be a part of our success story …
Situated on the Devonport Peninsula and surrounded by beautiful beaches, Belmont Intermediate School is a well-resourced school catering to the needs of the emerging adolescent, ages 10-13 years old. Our school environment is vibrant and engaging and where diversity is sought and valued. We aim to challenge and inspire our international students to become confident and connected learners. They are integrated into the Kiwi experience by developing language and cultural awareness capabilities. We provide significant pastoral care to ensure a smooth transition, in a safe and supportive environment. We welcome short term or long term placements.
Voted New Zealand’s safest community, Devonport is just 10 minutes by ferry or a short drive over the harbour bridge to the city centre. An enviable lifestyle awaits you; safe, clean beaches, abundant recreational activities, cafes, restaurants, shops, wide green open spaces and some of New Zealand’s top performing schools. Our partnership with Takapuna Grammar School, one of New Zealand’s leading high schools, allows our international students the privilege of direct entry into this sought after school.
Why Belmont Intermediate School?
We take great pride in offering a limited number of international placements, which means that our ratio of International Team to international students is higher than most other schools. As such, this enables us to provide a higher standard of care for our international students and also allows us to deliver individualised support to each student.
In addition, when you choose Belmont Intermediate School, your child will have access to:
